“I’m A Cowboys Fan Now”: Cooper Flagg Sparks Controversy By Prioritizing Cowboys Over Patriots…

Cooper Flagg shocked many when he recently admitted that he is a Cowboys fan, after having supported the Pats since his childhood. Flagg was asked by Mike Curtis about his favorite teams in the NFL. While the rookie first revealed that he is not a major fan of football itself, he went on to admit that he has been supporting the Pats ever since he was a kid, mainly since they were based close to his hometown in Maine.

Nevertheless, with Flagg now playing for Dallas, it looks like the rookie has switched ships. Flagg went on to reveal that he supports Dallas in the NFL right now, shocking and disappointing many NE fans.

“I was a Patriots fan growing up just ‘cause that’s the closes one to Maine, but I’m not a huge football fan in general. I’m a Cowboys fan now.”Cooper Flagg said.

Cooper Flagg was asked about his alma mater Duke winning the ACC title. I followed up & asked if he had an NFL team:

No Cowboys?

Cooper Flagg may be supporting the Cowboys just because he plays for the Mavs, but the team has actually inspired a new wave of fans after their interesting performance this year. The Cowboys started off on a rough wave of losses, but then have put up several displays of greatness. The team namely managed to destroy both the Chiefs and the Eagles, back-to-back, solidifying their stance as playoff contenders this season.

Cooper Flagg Placed At Top Of Rookie Ladder

On another note, Cooper Flagg has been playing some really good ball as of late, even managing to make it to the top of the league’s rookie ladder for the season. After his latest performance, Flagg climbed to the top of the list, with Steve Aschburner placed below him right now.

Flagg seems to be the only saving grace for an otherwise badly struggling Mavs at this point. It is truly surprising that Flagg has found a leeway to prove himself, regardless of the drama that Dallas is going through this season. Compared to other teams in the league, the Mavs have undergone several serious changes and even let go of their GM Nico Harrison some time back.

Harrison was fired for a series of blunders, which are continuing to affect the Mavericks even now. One of the biggest mistakes was the Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis trade. While Doncic has gone on to stun for the Lakers, Davis has been on the bench for the majority of the time since he arrived in Dallas.
