Will Mohamed Salah play for Liverpool vs Brighton
In the latest edition of the Give Me Sport newsletter, Fabrizio Romano was asked about the Egyptian.
Responding to ‘what’s the latest on the Mohamed Salah situation at Liverpool?’, the journalist confirmed that talks are now expected to begin taking place from today (December 11).

He said: “From today, discussions internally will start about Salah featuring or not against Brighton. We have to see what Liverpool decide to do.”
Arne Slot commented on Salah recently, seeming to suggest the onus may need to be on the player to sort out the situation.
Speaking after Inter Milan, he said: “The next question should be does the initiative come from me or from him? The focus for tonight should be on Virgil, for example, the fans are singing for him.”
Whatever Slot decides to do on Saturday will cause debate, but history suggests it may be worth playing the out-of-favour star.

Salah, meanwhile, has been especially prolific against the South Coast outfit.
Throughout his career, he has faced Brighton on 18 separate occasions in all competitions.
In said matches he has found the back of the net 10 times and provided seven assists.
Salah has only scored more goals against seven other teams, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United (both 16) his favourite opponents.
