According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, Toronto would likely need to include RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl to come close to a salary-matching package for the Dallas Mavericks.

Pairing Davis with Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram would give the Raptors a powerful trio capable of making noise in a wide-open Eastern Conference.

ESPN's Shams Charania has reported that Toronto is one of three teams — along with the Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons — preparing trade offers for AD.

Davis, 32, is earning $54.1 million this season, is owed $58.5 million next year, and has a $62.8 million player option for 2027–28.

He has appeared in just 10 games this season, averaging 19.6 points and 10.2 rebounds while shooting 52.3% from the field and 33.3% from three.

AD has spent his entire 14-year, 797-game career in the Western Conference. He is a 10-time All-Star, a member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team, and a 2020 NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Barrett is in his third season with the Raptors, averaging 19.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. Poeltl, in his second stint with Toronto, is contributing 10.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
