After a pair of 10-day contracts, the Pacers will waive power forward Jeremiah Earl-Robinson to make room on the roster for Mathews.
In nine appearances with Indiana, the 29-year-old Mathews has averaged 4.8 points and 1.0 three-pointers in 13.7 minutes per game.
Mathews, a seven-year NBA veteran, has career averages of 6.4 points while shooting 38.1% from three over 323 games.
