Harvey Elliott is not wanted at Aston Villa permanently and he might still have a future at Liverpool.
Elliott was one of many Reds players who looked like they had moved on in the summer, although his was initially on loan with an obligation to buy if he made a certain number of appearances.
However, it appears as if Villa do not see him working out in the long-term and he is set to return to Liverpool, something that many Reds fans might be secretly happy about.

Elliott too might be pleased he is returning to his boyhood club as Arne Slot has made an exciting change, and it might just suit him down to the ground.
Arne Slot’s new system would suit Harvey Elliott
Elliott has always been a superb player, he has just had so many even better ones in front of him in the pecking order.
He can play in midfield or on the wing, and based on Liverpool’s struggles in both areas this season, he might just get more chances to prove himself.
But Slot’s new system, that saw him deploy a 4-4-2 diamond formation, might just suit Elliott better than most, with this his chance to shine in his best position.

Within this, someone needs to play the furthest forward, almost as a number 10, and this is where Elliott would thrive.
He would have a bit more space to be creative, with a player like himself enjoying this type of freedom to express his qualities.
Jurgen Klopp regretted not playing him more, and Slot has a second chance to not feel the same, and now seems like the perfect time to at least try it.

Harvey Elliott needs to get back on his feet and Liverpool is the best place for this
Due to Premier League rules, Elliott cannot join another English club this season as he has already played for two.
This means that he must either go abroad, which is a strong possibility, or stay at Liverpool and fight for his place.
This latter might be the best option after his disastrous loan spell as the familiarity might do him some good, with the Englishman hopefully able to find his feet before jumping straight into his next venture.
He might even establish himself as a key player in Slot’s side too, suggesting that he still has a future at the club, although it would be some turnaround given how the last few months have gone.
