Everton are not ideal opponents for Chelsea right now, with Enzo Maresca’s side on a bad run of form.
Chelsea’s defeat to Atalanta in the Champions League on Tuesday night means they have now gone four games without a win.
It was only last month when they were able to beat Barcelona 3-0. Everton, in contrast, are flying at the moment under David Moyes.

Nevertheless, Peter Crouch is still confident that Chelsea will come out as victors at the weekend.

Peter Crouch backing Chelsea to beat Everton 2-0
Chelsea failed to score in their last Premier League game against Bournemouth, while they were beaten 3-1 by Leeds United.
In contrast, Everton have won their two previous top-flight fixtures, yet Crouch thinks they will lose 2-0 on Saturday.
Speaking on The Peter Crouch Podcast, the former Liverpool and England striker said: “Everton have won four from their last five. I don’t see them getting anything from this. I’m going to go with Chelsea. 2-0.”
Chelsea will have to secure that 2-0 win without Moises Caicedo and Liam Delap. The former is still suspended following his red card against Arsenal, while the latter is injured after damaging his shoulder.
Everton actually wanted to sign Liam Delap when the 22-year-old was still at Ipswich Town, but he was keen to join Chelsea.

However, it was Nicolas Jackson who scored Chelsea’s goal that game, a player Enzo Maresca will not be able to call upon.
Cole Palmer should at least be available after being rested against Atalanta, and he has caused some serious harm to the Toffees in the past.
The attacking midfielder put in an unforgettable performance against them back in the 2023/24 campaign, scoring four goals in a 6-0 win. Palmer looked a bit rusty in the Bournemouth draw, but hopefully he can return to that kind of level again very soon.
