Liverpool are among the top Premier League clubs interested in signing a Real Madrid attacking star, according to a new transfer update.
The Reds will be looking for new signings heading into 2026, particularly if Mohamed Salah leaves the Reds in the January transfer window.
A lack of spark in the final third has been evident this season, with Florian Wirtz still adjusting to the Premier League, and Alexander Isak looking well short of his best, and fresh blood needs to be added in 2026.
According to a new report from Caught Offside, Liverpool are “keeping tabs” on Madrid star Arda Guler, with the Merseysiders “looking to sign a player who will add more creativity to the side.”
Arsenal and Manchester United are also in the mix to sign the 20-year-old Turk, who is arguably one of the most gifted young players in Europe currently.
Guler a superb young player, but will Real Madrid sell?
Guler is such a huge talent, invariably shining in a No.10 and being hailed by former Madrid teammate Toni Kroos, who discussed potential comparisons between them:
“Arda is also a different type of player than me. His best position is much more attacking than mine, so it’s not about me succeeding him at all. But I’m generally pleased because he’s a good lad. I’ve played alongside him. He has a really delicate touch, which he’s already used very effectively for Real this season.”
Interestingly, Guler doesn’t have a good relationship with Dominik Szoboszlai, however, with the pair clashing on the pitch and even exchanging messages on social media in the past.
But regardless, whether Madrid are willing to sell such a prized asset is up for debate, even though he has struggled to be a regular starter under Xabi Alonso this season.
The Champions League-winning Guler is contracted at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2029, so Liverpool and their rivals would clearly have to stump up a huge transfer fee to have a chance of getting their man.
There are more pressing areas of the pitch for the Reds to focus on, including centre-back, but if the chance arises for them to snap up the Turkey star, they should look to take it.
