Liverpool reach agreement with Premier League star

Liverpool welcome welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to Anfield in an intriguing Premier League encounter on Saturday.

The Reds have endured a dismal defence of their Premier League crown so far, winning just two of their last ten matches in the competition.

Last time out in the Premier League the Reds were held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds United at Elland Road, leaving them tenth in the top flight table.

Despite spending in excess of £400 million on new signings over the summer, it now appears that the Merseyside outfit are already planning more signings for next year.

As per CaughtOffside, Liverpool have reached an agreement on personal terms with Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.

The report claims that the Reds have also matched Manchester City’s offer for the Ghanaian, who has started the season in fantastic form for Andoni Iraola’s side.

So far this term the 25-year-old has scored six goals in 14 league games, as well as providing three assists.

Both Man City and Liverpool have now agreed personal terms with the Ghana international, who looks increasingly likely to depart the Cherries when the transfer window reopens in January.

Semenyo joined Bournemouth from Championship side Bristol City back in 2023 and has since made more than 100 appearances for the south coast club across all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 13 assists.

He is under contract with Bournemouth until the end of the 2029/30 campaign having signed an extension earlier this year, but it appears increasingly likely that he will leave the club in the new year.

Despite significant interest from elsewhere, the report suggests that the Cherries will still demand that his release clause – currently set at £65 million – is met in order to allow the player to depart the club.
