Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford is settling into life in Spain with Barcelona.
One year ago, Marcus Rashford was heading towards a painful fallout with Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.
It culminated with a stop-gap loan move to Aston Villa in the second half of the 2024/25 season.
Now on loan at Barcelona for the 2025/26 season, Marcus Rashford is hoping his current move will be more permanent.

Rashford has had a largely positive spell at Barcelona, but there are no guarantees the La Liga club will meet Manchester United’s asking price.
Importantly, Rashford is getting settled off the pitch and dropping hints over his future.

Rashford visited two schools who are partnered with the Barcelona Foundation, and handed out copies of his book and spoke to children.
He also told Mundo Deportivo about how he has been able to settle in Spain, and his hopes to learn more of the language.
Rashford said: “All my teammates welcomed me warmly and I also felt very comfortable in the city.
“It’s the first time I’ve lived away from Manchester, but I’m already starting to feel at home. I want to learn more Spanish and I’m trying.”
Rashford’s comments highlight that even during his loan at Aston Villa, he lived in the North-West of England.
He also spoke positively about his eagerness to help out at charity events, and how this is helping him connect to the Barcelona community, and his desire to return and do it again.
Rashford explained: “Since I was young, I’ve tried to help in these situations. I’m very happy to be here today, because I’m in a new country, but it’s important for me to understand the people here.
“That way, I can start helping here. I hope it’s not the last time I can do something like this.”
Rashford effectively on trial at Barcelona
There are no guarantees Barcelona will pay up immediately for Marcus Rashford, despite having the framework of a deal in place.
Barcelona are also looking at signing young stars to grow alongside Lamine Yamal, and how much they spend on those signings, could impact their funds to pay up for Rashford and his wages.
Are you worried Barcelona won’t sign Marcus Rashford permanently?

At the weekend, Rashford had a very poor game in Barcelona’s game against Real Betis, where he was wasteful in front of goal and failed to offer anything creatively.
He provided an assist in midweek, which was helpful, because he can’t afford a run of ineffective performances.
The pressure at Barcelona is intense, and Rashford is effectively on trial, and can’t let his standards slip, or he won’t end up with the dream move he craves.
