Rounding up the latest Premier League transfer rumours - with news from Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Brighton and more.

The January transfer window is fast approaching, the rumour mill is starting to heat up, and the gossip is flying thick and fast – so to help keep everything straight, we’re here with our latest round-up of the biggest new Premier League transfer rumours, starting with a story for the Liverpool supporters reading.

According to Caught Offside, the Reds are “eyeing up” PSG winger Bradley Barcola as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah, who looks increasingly likely to leave following his very public criticism of Arne Slot.

Liverpool aren’t the only side keen on the 23-year-old Barcola, and Manchester United “could be in for him” as well, the article continues. PSG aren’t necessarily keen to lose the Frenchman, and could offer him a new contract, but insider sources apparently describe the prospect of a deal as “realistic.”

There’s no word on the kind of price tag we’d be looking at, or on whether Barcola himself would be keen on leaving the European champions. He’s also not the only player that Liverpool are looking at should Salah leave, with Antoine Semenyo name-checked as one might expect given the strong links between him and Liverpool.

The 3AM Verdict: Semenyo seems more likely to be the primary target based on everythingwe’ve heard, but Liverpool will be developing a Plan B too and Barcola isn’t an implausible suggestion – but there’s far too little detail here to convince us that it’s necessarily likely to happen any time soon.

Everton ‘on alert’ as Brighton player could become available

A story for the blue half of Merseyside, now, courtesy of TeamTalk, who claim that Everton are “on alert” over the possibility that Evan Ferguson could become available for the second half of the season, with discussions taking place which could see his loan spell at AS Roma cut short.

The Brighton & Hove Albion striker is said to have been “offered to a host of clubs ahead of the January window” with Everton joined by Celtic and Leicester City in their interest, which comes despite the Irishman’s struggles in Serie A. With Thierno Barry yet to hit his groove and Beto the subject of interest from overseas, it’s hinted that Everton could take a chance on a player who they checked in on over the summer – but it’s not mentioned whether we’d be looking at a loan or permanent deal.

The 3AM Verdict: Everton don’t have much to spend for the rest of this season, so an initial loan would be the way it worked even if they did want to sign him permanently down the line – and the fact that he could be available for a minimal up-front cost does lend credence to this story, although there’s a chance that it’s based solely on their historic interest rather than any new information. Such is the nature of the gossip columns that it’s hard to be sure.

Wolves could sell ‘shining light’ in January

Let’s finish up with a story which probably won’t do much to cheer up any reading Wolves fans: If Football Insider have their facts straight, then Wolves could end up selling key defender Emmanuel Agbadou this January, who is described in the article as “one of few shining lights” in a distinctly bleak season.

Agbadou only joined in January but apparently Besiktas “are seriously interested in a move” for the 28-year-old – and Agbadou himself is said to be “keen on the move” if a formal offer does come in. Besiktas are said to have opened talks already with “discussions ongoing” over a deal for a player who cost £16.5m when he joined from Stade Reims at the start of 2025. There’s no word on how much Wolves might sell him for should they decide to let him leave.

The 3AM Verdict: Agbadou hasn’t been as good this season as he was when he first joined – who at Wolves has? – but we’d still be surprised if Besiktas could cobble together enough cash to pay Wolves enough to make selling Agbadou worthwhile in January. Stranger things have happened, but this would raise a few eyebrows in the 3 Added Minutes office if it went through.
