Giannis Antetokounmpo's top preference appears to be the Knicks, but he reportedly also has a strong interest in Miami—where he shares an agent with Bam Adebayo and even considered joining back in 2020.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo would be interested in joining the Miami Heat if he cannot secure a move to the New York Knicks, according to Howard Beck of The Ringer.

"In doing the Giannis story and talking to people around the league, after New York, Miami was suggested to me as a place Giannis would really love to land if it's not New York," Beck said on The Zach Lowe Show.
"Where Giannis wants to go is only one piece of this, and it's not going to be determinative necessarily, it still comes down to what the Bucks can get from their trade partner. ... It would not surprise me if the Heat found a way."
One element working in Miami's favor is that Antetokounmpo and Heat center Bam Adebayo share the same agent, Alex Saratsis of Octagon.
This isn't the first time Miami has been linked to the two-time MVP. NBA insider Jake Fischer previously reported that Giannis considered teaming up with Luka Doncic in Dallas or joining the Heat back in 2020.
Still, the Knicks remain the top option most frequently connected to Antetokounmpo. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Bucks and Knicks even discussed a potential trade this past offseason, though no deal materialized.

While Los Angeles Lakers fans often dream of pairing Giannis with the purple and gold, such a move appears highly unlikely.
As Jovan Buha has noted, the Lakers' chances would improve only if Antetokounmpo isn't traded this season and remains in Milwaukee long enough for L.A. to assemble a viable package—or if he personally pushes for a trade there.
For now, despite the growing speculation, the Bucks are not entertaining trade talks involving their franchise star, and no negotiations have taken place, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.

Antetokounmpo is earning $54.1 million this season and holds a $62.8 million player option for 2027–28. He does not have a no-trade clause.
Before suffering a right calf strain, he was averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists.
