Pep Guardiola's wife has reportedly moved out of their family home due to the Manchester City manager's latest contract.

The couple's relationship has been on the rocks over the last 18 months, with Spanish podcast Mamarazzis stating that Guardiola hasn't seen his wife in a while. Cristina Serra, who has been married to the City boss since 2014, moved back to Barcelona in 2019 to continue running her fashion brand, Serra Claret.

Since then, the business owner had been travelling between Spain and England to visit her husband as he continued to find success with City. Reports stated that in September 2024, Serra didn't return to England because a promise to move to the United Arab Emirates wasn't kept.

Guardiola's resulting contract extension, keeping him at the Etihad until 2027, appeared to be the last straw for his wife, but the couple indicated they were leaving the door open to reconcile in the future. Now, Antena 3 program Y Ahora Sonsoles hosted Mamarazzis star Lorena Vazquez, and she shed fresh light on the situation.

Vazquez claims that Serra has left the family home in the Pedralbes area to move to another apartment in the Eixample district. Speaking about the property the 52-year-old seemingly bought in October, she said: "It's a modest home, compared to what she could have afforded."

Vazquez added: "Relationships sometimes continue as friendships," alluding to the idea that Guardiola and Serra will continue their life amicably but not romantically.

However, earlier reports in 2025 suggested that should Guardiola return to Barcelona - and give up his job at City - then the relationship could likely be saved.

Discussing the situation with journalist Laura Fa, Vazquez said: "They're leaving the door open to reconciliation; it could be that one day, when Pep retires from football and returns to Barcelona, they could resume their relationship.

"It's a friendly, well-considered breakup, without drama, fights, or third parties involved."

The separation is yet to be confirmed with official documents, but it seems Guardiola won't rekindle his 30-year relationship with Serra unless he departs the Premier League for good.
