Manchester City defender Rebecca Knaak has signed a new contract with the club until summer 2028.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this morning.
The 29-year-old German international joined Manchester City from Swedish club FC Rosengård in January and she has gone on to make a big impact at The Joie Stadium. Knaak has made 16 appearances in all competitions in which she has scored five goals. She has helped Manchester City climb to the top of the Barclays Women’s Super League table this term.
There is much more to come from Knaak in her time at Manchester City and the club have therefore moved to secure her services for the long-term.
After signing on again with Manchester City, Knaak said “It’s the club I love and the club I want to be successful at.
“Personally, I have so much unfinished business to be done, and I love this football club. It feels like home to me now and I feel this is where I belong and I’m meant to be.’
Manchester City are next in action on Sunday when they welcome Aston Villa to The Joie Stadium in the Barclays Women’s Super League.
