Everton are going to be searching far and wide for potential forward additions in the January transfer window.
As was the case over the summer, competition from Premier League rivals will be expected by those at Everton.
However, David Moyes may now feel the Toffees are in a stronger position to attack the window after struggling to convince some players in the summer.
By the close of the window, Moyes was pleased with Everton’s transfer business, but there were a number of players who rejected the Blues.
Heading into January this may be different. Everton now look like a side who have the quality to really put up a fight for a place in the European spots.
There is one striker who the Toffees are keeping an eye on, but will face competition from the likes of Leeds United.

On Thursday, it was reported that Everton and Leeds are eyeing Tyrique George, with his time at Chelsea expected to come to an end in January.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The young Chelsea forward is not the only player the two sides are heading into the winter market with an eye on, though.
According to TeamTalk, Everton and Leeds are two of the sides who have already checked in on Hauge over recent windows.

It is now believed that the Norwegian winger is ready to approve a move to the Premier League if the right offer is to land his way next month.
Crystal Palace are another Premier League outfit who are expected to offer Hauge with a potential landing spot.
Speculation is really beginning to ramp up on Merseyside, with Everton also keen on Evan Ferguson, who shone for Roma in the Europa League against Celtic.
With more goals needed, it is clear that Everton are ready to attack the January transfer window to bolster their hopes of European qualification.
What Stefano Pioli said about Jens Petter Hauge
Primarily a left-winger, Hauge would find himself battling Jack Grealish for a spot in the Everton starting XI.
Grealish has been shining for Everton this season, but competition for places would not hurt Everton as they look to achieve something big this season.
Hauge has already played for a number of big clubs across Europe, with stints at both AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt under his belt.
Why are Everton looking to sign another winger? Surely there’s more pressing needs… 😫

Whilst at Milan, former manager Stefano Pioli waxed lyrical about Hauge’s ability to open the opposition up.
“We had observed him well and knew he was very good at getting between the lines and dribbling past his opponent on the flank. He is certainly a European level player,” he told the media.
Whether Hauge would be willing to join Everton and potentially play second fiddle to Grealish may be another question altogether.
