The Japan winger is an option for their trip to Anfield to face champions Liverpool.
Yasin Ayari, Tommy Watson and ex-Liverpool star James Milner are also available.
Solly March remains absent along with Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas.
March is on course to return by the turn of the year.
Mitoma has been out of action since late September with an ankle injury.
The injury also ruled him of two international windows.
Mitoma has a big role to play for his club over the rest of the season going into a second World Cup with his country.
Japan also have a date with England at Wembley on the agenda in March.
Mitoma had been suffering pain in his ankle, which delayed his return.
Speaking at the training ground on Friday morning, Hurzeler said: “He overcame the pain issue and he trained well this week, so he will be an option.”
Hurzeler is delighted to have options and hopes it stay that way.
He added: “I think it's important to have availability, but much more important is to keep the availability.
“So having the availability for one game is good, but it has to be like a consistency.
“It has to be like through the whole phase of this amount of games through this period.
“It is just important to keep the availability, not only one game, so therefore we try to keep working hard for them.
“But it's a really good start, that we have this availability back and now we have to do everything we can to keep pushing through this phase of the season.”
