Everton travel to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Saturday as they look to continue their good Premier League form.

The Toffees come into the game off the back of a convincing 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest, in which Thierno Barry scored his first goal for the club.

Chelsea are big favourites to come away with all three points, but David Moyes’ side will be confident that they can cause an upset in West London.

Ahead of the game, Goodison News reminds you of three players who played for both Everton and Chelsea in their career.

Samuel Eto’o

Samuel Eto’o really made his name at Barcelona and Inter Milan, winning the Champions League on three seperate occasions between 2006 and 2011.

The Cameroon international made the switch to English football in the summer of 2013, joining Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.

Eto’o was at Stamford Bridge for just one season, scoring nine Premier League goals, before moving to Everton for the 2014-15 campaign.

However, the centre-forward only spent six months at Goodison Park, finding the back of the net three times before joining Sampdoria in January 2015.

Kurt Zouma

While Kurt Zouma will likely be remembered for his antics off the field, the Frenchman spent over ten years in the Premier League.

The centre-back joined Chelsea in January 2014, and spent seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, making 99 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

Towards the end of his time with the West London side, Zouma fell out of favour and was sent out on loan.

He spent the 2018-19 campaign with Everton and had a relatively successful spell at Goodison Park, playing 32 Premier League games and scoring two goals.

Asmir Begovic

Asmir Begovic only left Everton last summer, after two stints at the club where he was mainly utilised as a backup goalkeeper.

Begovic made the move to Merseyside in the summer of 2021, but left to join Leicester City two years later after rejecting a contract offer.

However, the shot-stopper rejoined the Toffees ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, once again playing second fiddle to Jordan Pickford before departing at the end of the season.

Earlier in his career, Begovic had a two year spell at Chelsea, making 19 Premier League appearances for the Blues between 2015 and 2017.
