Sheffield Wednesday reportedly want to sign defender Reece Welch on loan from Everton.
The 22-year-old was born in Huddersfield but cut his teeth over on Merseyside, ascending the youth ranks at Everton.
He has represented England at various youth levels but a first-team breakthrough at the Hill Dickinson Stadium has not materialised.
Welch has already been out on loan twice, having spells at Forest Green Rovers and Belgian outfit Deinze, and it appears he could be heading out again.

Sheffield Wednesday linked with defender
According to Football Insider, the centre-back is wanted on loan by Championship basement boys Wednesday.
It has been claimed Everton view a Championship loan spell as the next stage of his development, with Welch still on the fringes of David Moyes’ squad.
Wednesday are believed to have expressed an interest in the defender and it remains to be seen if a deal can be done.
Hillsborough as a breeding ground for talent
The Owls are under a transfer embargo, therefore may need to dip into the loan market to bolster their ranks.
Reports have indicated Manchester United are pleased with his progress and other Premier League clubs may now view Hillsborough as an ideal environment for development.

"He's going to be a better player, get a lot of playing time and make a good story for the club who sent the player.
"I think we have done a great job for Harry. His individual development has been amazing with all we're doing, individual feedback from his training, from the games. His physical development has been good. A lot of things go in the right direction."
