Everton midfielder Charly Alcaraz has now had almost a full year on Merseyside to settle in to life in England.
The Argentine initially joined on loan before Everton made his stay permanent over the summer.
Alcaraz has been working both on and off the pitch to improve himself as a player and to bed into life in a new country.
Over recent weeks, David Moyes has shown more faith in the 23-year-old, who has started the last two games for the Toffees.
Some Everton fans were not overly impressed with Alcaraz during his performance against Bournemouth, but his work rate cannot be denied.
The 23-year-old’s English has improved dramatically over recent months, as he aims to communicate better with his teammates at Finch Farm.
But there is one player who stands out to the midfielder as his best friend at the club.

Who is Charly Alcaraz’s best friend at Everton
Earlier in the season, Everton News columnist Alan Myers suggested Alcaraz could play as a striker amid the club’s struggles in front of goal.

That advice was not taken on board by Moyes, but it is one of the two senior strikers at the club who Alcaraz has formed a strong bond with.
Speaking with A View From The Bullens, Alcaraz has shared his special connection with Beto.

“Beto. I always stay with Beto,” said Alcaraz.
“I speak Spanish or Portuguese with him. Always play together and I think it’s Beto.
“Last season it was Jack Harrison, but now it’s Beto. I always speak with him [Harrison]. I miss him, he’s a good guy.”
Last season, Beto shared his strong connection with Alcaraz, after the pair were able to combine for a number of goals during the midfielder’s loan stint.
It was also good to hear that Alcaraz recognised the help Jack Harrison offered him despite the winger failing to really provide an impact on the pitch under Moyes.
Alcaraz faces Everton switch for Chelsea clash
Idrissa Gana Gueye returns to Everton selection for Chelsea having served his three-game suspension picked up at Old Trafford.
With just one game before he jets off for the Africa Cup of Nations, this could see Alcaraz’s spot in the side come under real scrutiny.

Because of the Senegal international’s absence, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has played a deeper midfield role under Moyes.
The 27-year-old may now return to his usual spot as the number 10.
And that is the issue Alcaraz may face when Moyes comes to selecting his side to play at Stamford Bridge.
However, his opportunities will be there over the coming weeks whilst Gueye represents his nation at AFCON.
