Tino Livramento is, understandably, ready to stall on contract talks at Newcastle United.
While Livramento is under contract until the summer of 2028, Newcastle United are keen to ensure he remains at St James’ Park beyond that point.
Still, such is the England international’s standing in the game, Livramento is a man in demand.

Geordie Boot Boys understand that Manchester City are interested in signing Livramento, who has established himself as a leading Premier League star after joining Newcastle from Southampton in the summer of 2023.
Clearly, the club want to keep the former Chelsea youngster on Tyneside and while that is not an impossibility, Livramento is ready to see where the land lies in a few months.

Tino Livramento’s stance on Newcastle United future explained
Earlier this month, the defender was asked how long he wanted to stay at the club.
Livramento confirmed he’s happy at Newcastle but didn’t give an exact same time frame.
That’s understandable. There is little point painting yourself into a corner.

It would obviously be gutting to lose a player of his quality but Livramento – should he conduct himself in the right way – couldn’t really be blamed for leaving.
This is a player on the up and one far too good to be languishing in midtable.
If Newcastle improve and finish the season strongly, perhaps they can offer him the right kind of environment in which to continue his career.
If they don’t, then they only have themselves to blame.
