Enzo Maresca has confirmed Wesley Fofana is fit and available to face Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Fofana, who came on as a half time substitute in the defeat to Atalanta on Tuesday night, had to be taken off after taking a boot to the face.
Speaking after the game Maresca provided an update on Fofana, and stated the situation with his eye was “quite bad.”

However, speaking to the media ahead of the game with Everton, Maresca provided a much more positive update on the Frenchman.
“He’s available, he’s fine,” he told his pre-match press conference.
“He took part in the session yesterday and he’s completely fine.”

Maresca has previously spoken on how Fofana is working towards being able to play two games a week after the injury problems which have plagued his time at Stamford Bridge.
Fofana and Trevoh Chalobah have formed a good partnership, with the duo keeping four clean sheets in the last five games they’ve started together.
The 24-year-old was at fault for Atalanta’s equaliser on Tuesday as he lost Gianluca Scamacca in the box, which left the striker with a free header.
Maresca will be hoping Fofana can improve in this aspect as the same thing happened against Arsenal when Mikel Merino scored.
Cole Palmer available
With Fofana set to return to the starting line-up it appears Cole Palmer is also ready to return and make his first appearance at Stamford Bridge since the opening game of the season.
