Draymond Green believes his punch on Jusuf Nurkic is the reason Team USA didn’t include him on last year’s Olympic roster.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green believes his punch on current Utah Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic cost him a spot on Team USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Height: 213 cm

During a Q&A session on The Draymond Green Show, the four-time NBA champion was asked whether he has any fights in the NBA that he regrets.

While saying he has no true regrets, he admitted that the incident with Nurkić may have cost him the opportunity to become a three-time Olympic gold medalist.

"I'm not someone who lives with regrets — that's not really how I roll, so I don't know if that's the right word — but I think one moment I really look back on is the one with Jusuf Nurkic, because I actually think that moment cost me an opportunity to win a third gold medal. I look back at that one and I'm like, ‘man, that sucks,’" Draymond said.

Draymond Green represented Team USA in both the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games, helping the United States win gold medals in each.
