Everton have a massive transfer window coming up as David Moyes tries to build momentum in the Premier League.
The Toffees are currently seventh in the table after beating Nottingham Forest at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on 6 December, as Sean Dyche suffered a 3-0 defeat on his return to Merseyside.
Moyes faces a tough test against Chelsea next at Stamford Bridge on 13 December, and the Scottish manager has a chance to make a statement with a win in London.
Prior to the game against Enzo Maresca’s team, the 62-year-old head coach spoke about giving more opportunities to players, and Dwight McNeil’s name came up.

Dwight McNeil expected to be part of Everton squad in January
With Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations after the Chelsea game, Moyes hinted at giving more game time to some of the fringe players.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Carlos Alcaraz and McNeil will be relied on in the upcoming matches, with the Scottish manager looking for solutions at the Hill Dickinson Stadium amid the AFCON absences.
McNeil has been linked with a move away from Everton, but it doesn’t look like the Merseyside outfit have any intention of selling him right now.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on 12 December, Moyes said: “There are a few, Alcaraz and McNeil, quite a few in there who are keen to get selected and put in the side. So they will be used, no doubt about that, in the coming weeks and months.”
Ndiaye and Gueye have been key players for Moyes this season, and it will be interesting to see how the Toffees will cope with their absence.
The former Olympique Marseille forward’s exit will certainly be a bitter blow, but Tyler Dibling and McNeil will now have a chance to prove their worth.
Dwight McNeil loan exit mooted to Championship high-flyers
Former Everton scout Brayn King expects McNeil to leave on loan in January after struggling for game time in Merseyside.
Coventry City have been suggested as a potential destination for the 26-year-old, who has played just 91 minutes in the Premier League this season.

Jack Grealish and Ndiaye’s impressive form has meant that several attacking players have had to bide their time for opportunities under Moyes.
Dibling is another winger who has failed to get going in L4 after a big-money move from Southampton, and while the Scottish manager seems to have them in his plans for the rest of the season, their futures will be worth keeping an eye on.
