Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool's matchday squad for this weekend's fixture against after holding talks with on Friday.

The Egypt international, 33, sent shockwaves through the football last weekend by claiming he had been 'thrown under the bus' by the club after being benched again for the 3-3 draw with . Salah went on to claim that he had no relationship with Slot and appeared to open the door to a sensational mid-season exit.

and Slot responded by omitting Salah from the travelling part for the midweek game against Inter Milan, with Slot explaining in his Friday press conference that he would speak with Salah on the eve of Saturday's game with Brighton.

It's now understood that Salah will be reintegrated into Slot's matchday squad, with confirming the player and Slot held peace talks at the club's training ground.

The Brighton game will be the final opportunity for Slot to select Salah before the attacker heads off to the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.
