Mohamed Salah will be included in Liverpool's squad for their Premier League match against Brighton and Hove Albion, after holding talks with Arne Slot. The forward was excluded from the squad who travelled to Italy for the midweek Champions League clash against Inter.
The decision came just days after he accused Liverpool of throwing him under the bus after he was an unused substitute in the 3-3 draw with Leeds United. Salah also said that he had no relationship with manager Arne Slot.
Speaking ahead of the game against Brighton, Slot confirmed that he was due to hold talks with Salah. "I will have a conversation with Mo this morning. The outcome of that conversation determines how it will look tomorrow," he said.
"What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. There's not much more to say about it.
"I will speak to him today and the outcome of that conversation determines how things will look tomorrow.
"You can try it in multiple ways, the next time I speak should be with him. We've spoken a lot in the last week, after the Sunderland game, there have been a lot of conversations between his representatives and ours, between him and me.
"And today I will speak with him again."
Sky Sports now report that following those conversations, Salah will be included in the squad for Saturday's match against Brighton. If he is in the line-up or on the bench is still to be seen.
During last week's interview, Salah revealed that his family were due to attend the game, with it being his final match before he leaves to represent Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday. Depending on how the nation do in the competition will determine how long he is away for.
