According to NBA reporter Evan Sidery, the Suns are welcoming the possibility of dealing Nick Richards away, as the center holds an expiring $5 million salary this 2025-26 outing.
Richards originally signed a three-year, $15 million extension with the Hornets in 2023 before he was eventually dealt to the Suns this past January.
The 28-year-old big man is currently averaging 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds, which is significantly low compared to the 9.5 markers and 8.6 boards he registered in 36 games as part of the Suns in the second half of last season.
If made available by the Suns, Richards will definitely draw plenty of market interest among teams looking for a solid backup big man.
