Key Points

Steph Curry returned to the Golden State Warriors on Friday after missing five straight games due to a quad injury. The Dubs were able to hold on during his absence, going 3-2 in that span.

Curry’s return is certainly a much-needed boost for the Warriors, however. In the 16 games he played prior to his injury absence, the 37-year-old guard averaged 27.9 points on 47.1% shooting, 3.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals.

Before Curry even took the court against the Minnesota Timberwolves, though, he turned a lot of heads with what he did ahead of the highly anticipated showdown.

In a video the NBA posted on social media, Curry can be seen doing his usual pregame routine of shooting the ball from the tunnel. This time, however, he attempted a full-court tunnel shot, heaving the ball to the other side of the court.

Making the whole moment even more incredible, Curry drained the shot, with the ball seemingly not hitting the rim as it perfectly swished through the net.

Even WNBA star Caitlin Clark was in disbelief after seeing the video of the shot, so much so that she wrote, “this has to be AI.”

Of course, the Indiana Fever guard was not alone with that sentiment, with many others expressing their disbelief on what Curry just pulled off.

“Has to be Ai,” a poster stated, echoing Clark’s comment. A supporter doubled down, saying, “this has to be AI.”

A third follower had to ask, “@grok is this real or AI?”

“This man has the spirit of god in him,” a commenter wrote. Another one said, “Bro is not human.”

Curry is considered the greatest shooter ever for a reason, and his accuracy was definitely on full display during his viral moment.
