It's about belief, says Hurzeler as Albion aim to stun Anfield

The Seagulls visit the champions at a venue where they have led on their last three visits without going on to finish the job.

There was the dramatic early two-goal blast from Leandro Trossard in Roberto De Zerbi’s first game in charge, which ended 3-3.

Then super strikes in front of the Kop by Danny Welbeck and Ferdi Kadioglu in games which Liverpool won 2-1.

Albion’s one win at Anfield in the Premier League era came behind closed doors.

But, apart from the 4-0 defeat at the end of their debut Prem season, they have always been very competitive at Liverpool’s home.

Head coach Hurzeler said: “We weren't able to win there last season, but we were close.

“We also travelled to other big stadiums with great atmospheres and we were always able to handle it.

“I'm quite convinced that we go there and can play with a lot of courage.

“I think in these kind of games you need a lot of belief.

“Belief in your own quality, belief in your team-mates, because without belief, you can't win this game.

“Belief is a big word - that we go there with big belief

“We can go there with big self-confidence and with a big belief in our quality and our style of play because we proved that this season and last season that we can beat these kind of teams and if we stick together, we are capable of great, great achievements.”
