The Warriors could pursue Trey Murphy III by building a trade package around Jonathan Kuminga and future draft capital.
The Golden State Warriors are widely expected to explore trade options involving Jonathan Kuminga once he becomes eligible to be moved on January 15, with league sources believing a deal could materialize before the February 5 trade deadline, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Because of contract restrictions, Kuminga, 23, cannot be traded until mid-January, but that hasn't stopped rival teams from closely monitoring his situation and preparing potential offers.
NBA insider Sam Amick of The Athletic reports that Golden State has also shown interest in New Orleans Pelicans forward Trey Murphy III. Any potential deal could be centered around Kuminga, along with future draft assets.
Murphy has enjoyed a strong start to the season, posting averages of 21.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while playing roughly 35 minutes per game.
Kuminga, meanwhile, has had a more uneven campaign. In 17 appearances for the Warriors, he is averaging 12.4 points per game while shooting a career-low 43.8 percent from the field.
