On November 12th, L’Interista reported Inter Milan have Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guéhi in their target list.
Both the France international and the Crystal Palace player have over six months left on his contracts. Last month, Konaté dismissed reports Liverpool have offered him a new deal while saying his agent is in talks with the Reds.
The centre-back hasn’t committed his long-term future to Arne Slot’s side yet. A fresh report from L’Interista provides the latest on his situation on Merseyside.
Inter have already looked at the possibility of signing the 26-year-old or Guéhi for free next summer. The Serie A side would be presented with a new opportunity to sign the Liverpool player in the winter market.
L’Interista makes it clear it’s their own information. They have found out that Liverpool could be open to selling Konaté for €15m in January, to avoid losing him for free after this season.
The Nerazzurri could be looking to improve their defence next month. The surprise stance from Liverpool would see Inter president Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director, Piero Ausilio, bring forward the deal for the Frenchman in January.
The Reds’ plan, if they sell the Frenchman, is to invest those funds to snatch Guéhi from Crystal Palace next month. Liverpool, who failed to sign the 25-year-old last summer, will face competition from other clubs.
