The Chelsea of the 2020s is set up in such a way that top talent ends up leaving the club quite regularly.
It’s the price to pay for the plethora of talent that arrives each summer, but oftentimes it can be sickening to see players leave Stamford Bridge and thrive.
Chelsea sell more than anyone so the chances of it happening are high.
One such former Blue has recently discussed his experience since moving on during the summer, as he prepares to face off against his old side this weekend.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall loving life after Chelsea
A hot topic of conversation this week has been Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. It makes sense, with Everton next on the horizon for Enzo Maresca’s side.
He departed back in August after just one season with the Blues. That season was far from a failure, but the Englishman just wasn’t able to stake his claim for a first-team spot.
Maresca explained that competition is why Dewsbury-Hall didn’t work out at Chelsea.
But he’s very happy at his new club and the extra responsibility given to him by David Moyes.
As he tells Toffee TV: “Yeah, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a nice feeling. I mean, when you wake up and you know you’ve got a game in the Premier League and you’re starting it, you can’t beat that feeling.
“I personally think I’m such a better player now than when I was playing in the Premier League regularly before, which is exciting for me because it means that people will look at me now as a different player that’s more evolved, more experienced, and that’s what I want to be.”

It’s not that he doesn’t appreciate the time he spent at Chelsea. He just has far more opportunity now to meet his ambitions.
He continues: “I want to be one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, and that’s just the way it is. That’s what I think I can do. So yeah, I mean obviously I’m buzzing.
“I loved my time at Chelsea and we won trophies which was amazing but you can’t beat playing week in week out. It’s the best feeling in the world.”
Marc Cucurella hopes Dewsbury-Hall plays poorly when the two meet on Saturday, though his recent form doesn’t suggest he will.
Everton are a different team this season
We all have our preconceptions of Premier League sides — it’s only natural.

But since Moyes made his return, the identity of the side has changed. When you look further up the pitch, they’re actually stacked with technical talent.
Dewsbury-Hall, Jack Grealish and Iliman Ndiaye can all cause anyone problems.
Chelsea won’t just have to get physical with them. They’ll have to defend smartly and give those players the respect they deserve.
