Chris Sutton Makes Bold "Foot Off The Gas" Prediction Ahead Of Arsenal vs Wolves

Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has predicted the score for Arsenal vs Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners are top of the table and have a two point lead over Manchester City, who closed the gap last weekend after Arsenal lost to Aston Villa. Mikel Arteta will be pleased though, as Arsenal did manage to get back to winning ways during the week, as they beat Club Brugge 3-0 in the Champions League.

Arteta will be focused on the weekend instead though, as Arsenal welcome bottom-of-the-league Wolves to the Emirates, for a clash between first and 20th. Wolves are yet to win a game this season, and look destined for relegation, but Rob Edwards will hope his side are able to cause the Gunners some issues.

If Arsenal do win, it would extend their gap to five points at the top of the table, putting some pressure on Manchester City, who are playing against a very tough Crystal Palace side on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Sutton predicts Arsenal win vs Wolves

Former Premier League forward Chris Sutton has made his weekly score predictions for BBC Sport, and he thinks that Arsenal will beat Wolves 3-0 at the Emirates. However, despite the score line, Sutton thinks Arsenal will “take their foot off the gas” in the game.

Sutton said: “Speaking of obvious results, this is top against bottom and it’s pretty clear Arsenal will win this – it is just a question of how many they will score.

“The Gunners are still stretched but they were still able to rest a few in that game. I don’t see Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta rotating much on Saturday, though, because he certainly won’t take winning this game for granted.

“If you’re an Arsenal fan you probably want to see your team absolutely blow Wolves away and scoring a shedload, but I don’t think that will happen. Instead, I can see Arsenal getting the game won, then taking their foot off the gas. That’s when Arteta will make some changes.”
