Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shares what he genuinely thought of Everton fans before he signed

Everton fans have been treated to some incredible performances over recent weeks in the Premier League.

Records have been broken with away wins at Old Trafford and Bournemouth for David Moyes and his side over the last month.

That has propelled Everton into the top half of the table, with Moyes desperate to do something special this season.

At the heart of the success has been Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has hit the ground running since making the move over the summer.

Everton’s players think Dewsbury-Hall could become the captain on Merseyside after the 27-year-old’s early performances for the Blues.

The midfielder has become a real fan favourite but he has now shared just what he actually thought about Everton fans before he joined.

What Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall thought about Everton fans

Earlier in the season, Roy Keane hailed Everton’s away support as the best around in the Premier League.

The Toffees have also brought the noise to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, which was absolutely rocking at the weekend against Nottingham Forest.

Speaking to Toffees TV, Dewsbury-Hall has admitted he was even left in awe of the Everton support before he joined the club over the summer.

“I remember when I was at Leicester, the lads at Leicester, we used to speak about quite daunting going to Goodison Park because of the atmosphere and the way the fans are yeah, it was earmarked as a sort of game where you have to be on your metal because the fans are like the 12th man for the team,” he said.

“So yeah, like they’ve got a great reputation home and away and I’ve seen it. I’ve seen it when you’re doing well.

“So, it’s it’s a really really good fan base and it’s only like since I’ve been in now as a player myself probably seen it more and I think they’re probably one of the best in the country if not the best.”

Dewsbury-Hall thinks there’s more Everton fans than Liverpool actually in the city of Liverpool having lived there for a number of months now.

With the performances Dewsbury-Hall is currently churning out for the Blues, he will have no shortage of support from the Everton faithful.

Everton fans think Dewsbury-Hall should become the captain at some point in the future after seeing him play in midfield recently.

The 27-year-old already has bags of experience under his belt and is showing his quality for the Toffees.

Troy Deeney named Dewsbury-Hall as the signing of the season on the back of his recent showing against Nottingham Forest.

There is very little that the midfielder has not been able to do since making the move to Merseyside.

One thing that is also certain is that he knows exactly what to say off the pitch to endear himself with the Everton fans.
