Done Deel? New Arsenal partner to take over sleeve sponsorship

Arsenal have confirmed a sponsorship agreement with American company Deel, a payroll and HR platform that sources have told The Athletic will become the club’s new sleeve sponsor from next season.

Arseblog News understands the Gunners accepted a deal lower than that offered by current sleeve partner Visit Rwanda, who had appeared set for a long-term extension of their controversial partnership before a late change of heart from the club.

Both David Ornstein and social media account @HandOfArsenal report that Darren Dein – son of former vice-chairman David Dein and one-time agent of Thierry Henry – played a role in introducing the two parties.

Formal confirmation of the sleeve sponsorship is expected towards the end of the season. In the meantime, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer, Juliet Slot, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Deel to our Arsenal family – a brilliant and innovative team who will bring so much to what we’re trying to achieve at our club.

“Their global platform matches the scale of our ambition and operations, and their investment will continue to power our growth. We’re looking forward to many successful seasons together.”

As for the sponsor itself? A company most people have barely heard of suits us just fine – especially given some of the alternatives and the noise they might have brought with them.
