Mohamed Salah has been named on Liverpool's bench against Brighton after being exile for his explosive outburst at Elland Road.

The Egyptian, who claimed Liverpool had 'thrown him under the bus' after being named on the bench for a third successive match during the Reds' 3-3 draw with Leeds last weekend, did not travel to face Inter Milan in midweek as he trained alone in exile at Anfield.

But after peace talks with Arne Slot on Friday, the Liverpool superstar has returned to squad for his final match before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations, with the Premier League champions taking on Brighton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

Slot, whom Salah claimed to have no relationship with during his bombshell interview with reporters, shook hands with Egyptian on Friday after a week that threatened to plunge the club into civil war.

Daily Mail Sport reported on Friday that talks were positive and that Salah was expected back in contention against Brighton on Saturday afternoon, after not starting the last four games.
