Chelsea welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge as they look to get back to winning ways this afternoon.
Since that very credible draw with Arsenal that sparked Premier League title talk at Stamford Bridge, things have taken a wrong turn for the Blues.
Defeat at Leeds followed by a bore draw with Bournemouth last Saturday has seen them slip down to fifth with a late defeat to Atalanta midweek in the Champions League doing little to inspire confidence.
A tricky test awaits today against the Toffees. David Moyes’ side have picked up three wins from their last four, including impressive victories away to Manchester United and Bournemouth.
Just a point separates the two ahead of kick-off – Everton could climb into the top five with another away day victory today.

Top four beckons for Chelsea
Ben Fleming
With Crystal Palace not playing until tomorrow, Enzo Maresca’s side have the chance to move temporarily into the top four and within two points of Aston Villa in third with a win this afternoon.
A win would also snap Chelsea’s winless run, which currently sits at four games in all competitions.

After one season at Stamford Bridge, Dewsbury-Hall left to join Everton for £25million, and has settled in quickly under David Moyes, scoring four goals and providing two assists in 14 league games.
Speaking about the returning Englishman pre-match, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: ‘I didn’t have any doubt about Kiernan. I know that the more he’s going to play, he’s going to be better.
‘But again, with us, he was good all season, working hard. The time that he played, he was doing well. But yeah, he has also good players, so the competition was a big competition for him.
‘I have no doubt that in the moment that he was able to play more games, he was doing well.’

Ben Fleming
Speaking in his weekly Metro column, the former Newcastle and England striker said:
‘David Moyes has Everton playing some good football and they’re solid.
‘*Chelsea are under pressure so this is really tough to predict. I think Everton will get a result here, so I’ll go for a draw.*‘

A huge boost for Chelsea as Palmer makes his first appearance at Stamford Bridge since the opening day of the season.
And good news, too, for the Blues’ skipper James, who starts his third game in a week in the heart of midfield with Enzo Fernandez.
