Morrall, 15, is leaving Liverpool and expected to be heading to West Yorkshire in order to join up with United’s youth setup.
A Republic of Ireland youth international, Morrall being a winger means that he’s likely to have found himself lower down the pecking order at Anfield than someone of his talent would like.
The youngster himself has confirmed the news on his Instagram account, relaying the above report. He has also shared a farewell to the Merseyside outfit, paving the way to team up at Thorp Arch.
Leeds United need to continue plucking talent from Premier League rivals like Kai Morrall
We are the biggest club in Yorkshire and one of the biggest clubs in the north of England. Consequently, we have a catchment size that allows us to hoover up plenty of local talent.
However, we need to ensure our academy is competitive as one of the best in the country. As a result, we need these sorts of coups consistently.
Morrall was competing with Rio Ngumoha and others for opportunities at Liverpool. So, moving to Leeds is a wise move on his part.
It’s definitely a transfer keeping an eye on for the future.
