Mohamed Salah breaks yet another record with assist against Brighton

The Egyptian King continues to write himself into history.

Mohamed Salah is a man who has taken English football by storm since his arrival in 2017.

Dispelling every single myth that he couldn’t make it in the Premier League following a failed stint with Chelsea, he is now considered an all-time Premier League great.

Game after game, season after season, a new record is broken.

It has become the new norm.

Today marks yet another milestone for a player who is genuine royalty to the Anfield faithful.

During arguably the toughest spell of his Liverpool career to date, as Mohamed Salah emerged from the bench today following “peace talks” with Arne Slot, he registered an assist to set up Hugo Ekitike’s second goal against Brighton.

That assist means that Mohamed Salah has now broken the record for the most goal involvements for a single side in Premier League history.

His Brighton assist takes his tally up to 277 goal contributions for Liverpool in the Premier League.

He overtakes Wayne Rooney to top the list.

Another record for a special player and the statistics speak for themselves.

On top of claiming a new record, Mohamed Salah now has the third-most goal involvements in Premier League history with 280.

He sits behind Wayne Rooney with 311 and Alan Shearer with 324.

We have never seen a winger quite like Mo in a Reds shirt, ever.

You feel as if Salah needed something today, whether it was a goal or assist, and it’ll go along way to rebuilding his confidence before he sets of on international duty with Egypt for the latest instalment of the Africa Cup of Nations.
