Arne Slot spoke about a 2-0 victory for **Liverpool**against Brighton.
The Reds are unbeaten in their last five fixtures across all competitions, having beaten West Ham 2-0, drawn 3-3 with Leeds United and defeated the Seagulls in their latest three Premier League games.

However, it was not completely smooth sailing from here.
The men of Fabian Hurzeler might still have not won a single PremierLeaguegame under his leadership in the month of December, but they continued to create problems for their hosts on this occasion. Minteh made his threat known in the final third, and Diego Gomez got two brilliant chances to try to equalise, including a missed effort in the face of an open goal at the start of the second half.
In the end, Slot’s side pulled away from their opposition as Ekitike enjoyed the freedom of the **Brighton**box to bury a **Mo Salah**corner with his head. The Reds have now returned to the top six of the table, and they hope to take the momentum from this week into their trip to Tottenham.
"Hard work. We had to work really hard for this win because we faced a very good team that kept going to the end. For the first time in weeks, I feel like we had a bit of luck today. We have a clean sheet, and in other games we have conceded three without the other team having as many chances.
"In the second half, in the moments they had, when we were together in and around our box. We had chances on the counte,r but I quite liked the way we played. Maybe we deserved this bit of luck because of the mentality that we showed and the injuries and other things like that.
“What people now say if you win 2-0 and then all of a sudden we were solid. But I think we conceded in one game more than we did in the last four games. But now all of a sudden it's solid because we won the game.
“And when we had a draw or are conceding in the last minute against Leeds, I assume that people weren't as positive as after this game. But we had a lot of chances as well. In my opinion, we are starting to play better and better on the ball as well.
*“And from the last five games we've played, we kept three clean sheets and that is something to build on, especially after conceding four against PSV Eindhoven and three against Nottingham Forest.”*
