Arne Slot said Liverpool had a bit of luck against an [Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) side who made them work hard.
The Reds boss gave his opponents credit for their performance in a 2-0 defeat at Anfield.
But his comments probably also underlined their wastefulness at times in front of goal.
Slot said: “We had to work really hard for this win because we faced a very good team who kept going until the end.
“For the first time in weeks, maybe I should say months, I feel that we had a little bit of luck on our side.
“Of course we had enough chances as well but they had more chances than most other teams we faced have had.
“And now we have a clean sheet and in some games we have conceded three without even conceding a chance.
“I don’t think it was constantly very open but there were a lot of good players on the pitch and they can create things in small spaces.
“In the second half the moments they had were when were together, in and around our box.
“When we had our chances, that came from counter attacks, mainly in the second half.
“But in the meantime I also liked the way we played.
“I thought we were quite comfortable and good on the ball and maybe we deserved this little bit of luck as well, if I look at the mentality the players showed with the injuries we had again and the substitutions we had to make.
“The mentality was very good.”
