'Bad news': Arteta issues Arsenal injury update after new blow

Mikel Arteta delivers more bad news on the injury front for Arsenal

Arsenal Football Newsletter

Mikel Arteta fears Arsenal are set for more “bad news” after Ben White became the latest player struck down by injury.

Arsenal have been hit hard by injuries in recent weeks, especially in defence, and Arteta bemoaned earlier this week how the Gunners are in a “dangerous circle”.

White is the latest player to pick an injury as he limped off during the first half of Saturday’s win over Wolves.

The right-back pulled up and grabbed his left hamstring when trying to get back and stop a Wolves counter attack.

“That is bad news, for sure,” said Arteta, when asked about White’s injury.

“It looks like a hamstring, so we don’t know the extent of that, but probably tomorrow, or the day after we will know more.

“He hasn’t played a lot of minutes because of the previous knee issue that he had.

“Then the moment that he started to get some momentum, he had to play a lot because we didn’t have any other solution.
