Man City are now regarded as favourites to sign Jagiellonia Bialystok winger Oskar Pietuszewski, according to reports.
TEAMtalk claim that Pep Guardiola’s side have “moved ahead” of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the battle for the teenager’s services.
Pietuszewski was mentioned as a potential January target for the three Premier League clubs at the end of last month.

It is believed that they have all held talks with the 17-year-old’s representatives but the Cityzens are said to be the likeliest to table a bid after sending their Head of Emerging Talent to run the rule over him.
How much will Pietuszewski cost?
Jagiellonia are said to be demanding at least €15m (£13.1m) for the Polish Under 21 international, which is unlikely to deter City from making an offer.
However, they may have more issues persuading the player. Pietuszewski is said to be prioritising minutes at first team level, and he is very aware that moving to such a high-profile club at this stage of his career may reduce his playing opportunities.
It is felt that the youngster would prefer to remain at Jagiellonia until the summer, although his club may have other ideas if they receive a bid that is too good to turn down.
What do Man City fans need to know about the player?
Pietuszewski has already played 52 times for Jagiellonia’s first team, having made his debut as a substitute against Ajax in a Europa League qualifier in August last year.
The forward then scored his first goal versus Gornik Zabrze back in May, bagging the opener during a 1-1 draw.
Since the start of the 2025/26 campaign, Pietuszewski has increased his output slightly, scoring 3 times and providing 2 assists in 29 appearances, but it is fair to say that he is still in the fledgling stages of his career.
