Liverpool claimed a huge win in the Premier League over Brighton on Saturday afternoon thanks to a Hugo Ekitike double, while all eyes were on Mohamed Salah.
The Egypt forward was named on the substitutes bench for the fourth consecutive Premier League game, and the first time since his incredible outburst towards manager Arne Slot following the 3-3 draw with Leeds United last weekend.
Upon arrival at Anfield, his reaction drew criticism as he walked off the team bus with a disappointed look and an attitude, but eventually the 33-year-old did get on the pitch and showed his quality, registering an assist from a corner and having several moments of quality.
But his reason for getting on the pitch early on could now spark the end of another player's career at Liverpool, while question marks over his remain.

Salah originally started as a substitute, but he was brought on after just 26 minutes when defender Joe Gomez went down injured and was unable to continue.
It's the latest in a string of injury problems that the 28-year-old former England international has dealt with over the years, and many would argue it's a big part of the reason why he has never reached his full potential as a player.
Gomez, who earns over £106,000-a-week at Anfield, has missed 236 games due to injury since moving to Liverpool in 2015 according to Transfermarkt, and as he now reaches the final 18 months of his contract at the club, enough is enough.
Central defence is clearly a problem area in the squad with Ibrahima Konate out of contract this summer, Virgil Van Dijk past his peak and Giovanni Leoni suffering a ruptured ACL, but Gomez is not someone the club can rely on to be available when they need him.
It's unclear how serious this new injury will be, but it's yet another injury that Slot doesn't need in his squad, and now the club must call it a day on Gomez's time with them.

When people look back at Gomez's career, it will be seen as successful. But he could have been so much more, and now, turning 29 before the season ends, Liverpool must accept that it's time for him to move on.
A new centre-back has already been a priority, but in reality they need at least two more due to the circumstances at the club. One of them must be to replace Gomez.
Several clubs have shown an interest in him over the years, and January would be the best possible time to move him on, get some cash in for him before his value decreases further, and replace him in the same window to give the squad the real boost that it needs.
Who is that replacement? It could be one of many players the club have been looking at. But it's now clear that this should be the straw that breaks the camel's back, and Gomez must leave Liverpool.
