Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the top scorer for the reigning champions with 29 points (11/16 2PT, 4/4 FT, 1/7 3PT), team-high 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

In the press conference post-game, Gilgeous-Alexander was asked to comment on whether a rivalry between Thunder and Spurs can become the biggest in the league soon.

Reigning NBA MVP agrees with that:

"Possibly, there is a good chance for that," Gilgeous-Alexander said.

"Like you said, they are playing good, a whole lot of talent, they are playing the right way and have a good brand of basketball, it's definitely a possibility. But we know that anything can happen in a couple of years," he concluded.

This season, Gilgeous-Alexander played 24 games, averaging 32.6 points, 6.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds, playing 33.5 minutes per match.
