Leeds United are closing in on a deal to secure a top young talent that has made a name for himself at Liverpool's academy. Kai Morrall, a 15-year-old winger, is set to complete a switch from Liverpool to Leeds in the coming weeks with the player having already taken to social media to confirm his exit from the Premier League champions.

According to The Talent Hunter on X, Morrall's next move will be to Leeds.

While Leeds are focussed on adding to their first team squad in January to boost their chances of survival in the Premier League relegation fight, the club's board also have one eye on the future and are keen to strengthen their academy, with Profit and Sustainability Rules in mind.

Leeds will pay a small compensation fee for the teenager, who has been playing for Liverpool's under-16s side and has also represented the Republic of Ireland at U16s level, with Morrall understood to be making the switch in the new year.

49ers Enterprises has have placed a focus on the club's production line of talent, with the ability to produce players from within your own academy now even more crucial than ever before in a world of PSR and tight budgets.
