Everton are gradually becoming a more ambitious and competitive team under the stewardship of David Moyes.Since his arrival in January, the Toffees have gone from a team looking over their shoulder trying to avoid relegation to one with ambitions of trying to sneak back into the European places after eight years without any form of football on the continent.
Everton were regularly in and around the European places during Moyes first tenure at the club, while at West Ham after picking the club up in similar circumstances he was able to lead the Hammers to Conference League glory to end a 42-year wait for a trophy, while also reaching the semi-final of the Europa League after a series of stellar displays.
Moyes recruitment since returning to Everton has certainly suggested that in the longrun he could achieve something similar. August’s Player of the Month, Jack Grealish, has added bags of flair and creativity out wide. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has looked excellent in the No.10 role while Thierno Barry after a slow start is beginning to show more confidence infront of goal.
It’s still early days in Everton’s acsent back to the upper echelons of the Premier League, but a productive January window could easily supercharge the club’s rise up the table. With that in mind, we asked Chat GPT to predict how Everton’s window could unfold, here’s it’s intruging response.

Joshua Zirkzee - signed from Manchester United: Chat GPT expects Everton to sign another profile of forward to compete with Barry in the second half of the campaign. However, he’s only got one goal and as many assists so far.
Juanlu Sánchez - signed from Sevilla: Everton have had issues at right-back throughout the campaign. Seamus Coleman is very much in the twilight years of his career at the age of 37 and is struggling for fitness, while Nathan Patterson, who has also had injury problems, has not featured at all in the Premier League.
Centre-back Jake O'Brien has since come in and started the majority of the matches, with midfielder James Garner also filling in on a temporary basis. However, Everton see Garner as being more suited to midfield and want to find a long-term solution to the right full-back area. Sánchez on paper could fill that void. He’s played 75 matches in total for Sevilla since joining the Andalusia outfit in 2021, is still only 22-years-old and has proven he’s capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Beto - sold to Leeds United: Chat GPT feels Zirkzee’s potential arrival could leave Beto surplus to requirements. The Guinea-Bissau international enjoyed a real hot streak when Moyes first arrived after scoring eight in total in the 2024/25 campaign. However, his goals have since dipped as has his place in the Everton pecking order, with Barry emerging as the first choice. It’s predicted that either newly-promoted Leeds United or Italian side Atalanta could be possible destinations for the 27-year-old forward.
Nathan Patterson - loan to Rangers: Patterson hasn’t really lived up to the hype that surrounded him when he joined back in 2022. Injuries have largely derailed his progress and he’s struggled to get anywhere near the team since Moyes’ arrival. Patterson is from Glasgow and used to play for Rangers, leading to Chat GPT suggesting that a loan move back to Ibrox could be on the cards.
