Quintin Grimes and Andre Drummond grabbed nine rebounds each for Philadelphia.
Jalen Johnson's club-record-tying third straight triple-double wasn't enough as the Hawks took a 142-115 thumping at the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Johnson finished with 19 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 22 points in the loss. Dyson Daniels had 18 points and 10 boards, and Onyeka Okongwu went for 14 points with four blocked shots. Atlanta remains without All-Star guard Trae Young (sprained right MCL).
Atlanta won the first meeting between the teams on Nov. 30, taking a 142-134 road victory on Nov. 30. Maxey averages 31.5 points and 7.2 assists for the Sixers, with Embiid getting 20.3 points per game and Drummond pulling down 9.3 rebounds a night. Johnson averages 23.2 points, 10.5 boards, and 8.0 assists for the Hawks, with Alexander-Walker scoring 20.7 points per game.
