Liverpool Star Issues His Verdict On Whether Mo Salah Has Played His Last Game For The Club

**Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate believes Mo Salah will still be a Reds player when he returns from the African Cup of Nations.**

The Egyptian seemingly resolved his differences with head coach Arne Slot after returning to the matchday squad against Brighton on Saturday, but there are lingering doubts about his long-term future. Asked whether [**Salah**](https://walkon.com/blog/liverpool-transfer-news-mo-salah-replacement/) has played his last game for the club, Konate replied:

“Personally, no, I don’t think so. Today, you saw how much he loves this club. What happened with him – you have to understand the frustration sometimes felt by players who have such a career, who have done so much.”

“He is a player that everyone loves, the coach loves, he loves the coach, everyone loves each other at this club.”

Salah has interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the US

--------------------------------------------------------

Speaking at the World Football Forum last week, Saudi Pro League chief executive Omar Mugharbel said that the 33-year-old is “one of” the targets that the league is pursuing.

MLS commissioner Don Garber said they would “welcome him with open arms” if he chose to make the switch across the pond in the New Year.

It is believed that Al-Hilal and San Diego are the two likeliest teams to make an approach if Salah signals that he wants a transfer.

Will Konate stay at Liverpool?

------------------------------

While Salah’s future remains up in the air, it should not be forgotten that Konate could also be on the move very soon, with his contract situation unresolved.

As things stand, Konate will have permission to speak to foreign clubs in just over two weeks. The Reds would be powerless to prevent him from signing a pre-contract agreement and leaving on a free transfer at the end of the season.
