Real Madrid defender Víctor Valdepeñas made his La Liga debut in yesterday’s 2–1 win over Deportivo Alavés. Arsenal are now showing interest, according to reports.
Víctor Valdepeñas, 19, has risen through Real Madrid’s academy system all the way to the first team.
On Sunday, the highly rated centre-back was handed his first start. Real Madrid secured a 2–1 away victory against Alavés.
The Spaniard has long been linked with several top European clubs monitoring his development.
According to ESPN Deportes, Arsenal — along with Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund — are closely following Valdepeñas’ progress.
Reports suggest the player’s preference is to continue his career at Real Madrid. However, it remains unclear where the club stands on his long-term future.
Valdepeñas is under contract with the Spanish giants until the summer of 2029.
