Stephen Curry continues to carry the Golden State Warriors on his back as the team struggles to find consistency this season.
The 11-time All-Star missed several games due to a right quad contusion but returned with a statement. In his first outing back against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, Curry scored 39 points, though the Warriors fell short.
On Sunday, he went even bigger, erupting for 48 points against the Portland Trail Blazers, but Golden State once again came up short.
Even with the team’s struggles, Curry recently made history that no other NBA point guard has achieved. “Steph Curry has the most 45-point games by a point guard in NBA history,” Real Sports shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Curry averages 28.5 points per game this season while shooting 47.3% from the field and 39.1% from three.
Golden State holds the 8th spot in the Western Conference with a 13-14 record.
