**_Sky Sports_ pundit Gary Neville says Arsenal will lose out on the title once again if they put in too many performances like they did against Wolves at the weekend.**
The Gunners [**were very lucky**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-player-ratings-wolves/) to secure three points, needing two own goals to overcome their opponents, who have not won in the league so far this season. Neville believes the players need a wake up call:
“If you’re getting into the changing room after the game, I think you’re probably getting a little bit of a telling off from your coach, saying basically, ‘That’s not good enough, and you need to step your level of performance up’. If you play like that too many times, then you won’t win this league.”
“On the other hand, part of you is saying that you’re going to have performances and moments like this during the season, and it’s not all going to be plain sailing. If I was in the dressing room, I’d be giving myself a little bit of a slap around the face and saying, ‘Wake up, come on! We’re going to be in danger if we carry on playing at this level. There has been a little bit of a dip for Arsenal in terms of performance, but it was important that they did get those three points; that is vital.”
Man City are breathing down their necks
---------------------------------------
While Mikel Arteta’s side laboured to a win on Saturday evening, their title rivals eased to victory in what was a far tougher fixture – away against Crystal Palace.
City remain two points behind in 2nd after 16 games played, with Aston Villa a point further back.
Who do Arsenal play next?
-------------------------
It’s a rare free week for the Gunners but they will be glad of the extra preparation heading into a difficult away match versus Everton on Saturday night.
The Toffees have won 4, drawn 2 and lost 2 since moving into their new home – the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
